Alana Bergh, Ron's wife, came here today to talk about the Rotary Foundation, and how we can participate in the good works that it conducts.

The Rotary Foundation is associated with Rotary International, but is technically separated from it.  The Rotary Foundation is, essentially, an endowment that funds Rotary projects.  Its focus is on charitable projects, rather than the functioning of clubs themselves.  For over 100 years, the Rotary Foundation has provided this help to clubs and projects around the world.

Along with larger charitable projects, such as the Polio Project, the Rotary Foundation also gives out grants to smaller, more localized projects.  This is not the only function, though.  The Rotary Foundation also accepts and manages charitable donations from people who believe in the work that the Foundation does and want to leave a legacy for the future.
